Staring Gate Racing is a new syndicate offering it’s members an inexpensive yet personal experience of racehorse ownership. The breeding and training of thoroughbreds is often as intriguing as racing them so we would like to make you feel welcome to our stud farm in South West Wiltshire and meet our jovial group of trainers as part of the package.
All horses are available in 5% lease shares with no initial buy in cost, just a monthly payment starting at the beginning of the agreement. Keeping shares at 5% maximise each syndicate to a possible twenty members, though an individual lease may take up to 40% in shares in any one horse.
Monthly payments include all training fees, vet and farrier costs. All transport and raceday expenses are included. Not included are pattern race entries and foreign travel. If your horse is likely to get pattern race entries or travel abroad then it is highly likely that it has been successful enough in the UK to pay for itself in this respect.
Any prize money won will be shared out annually pro-rata.
Anyone wishing to leave the syndicate will offer three months notice.
Each 5% share will guarantee you one owners and trainers badge on racedays. Visits to the stud farm and trainers are by arrangement.
Point To Point
Starting Gate Racing has developed from ourselves, David and Helen at Withyslade Farm, sharing our racehorse Look Surprised with other like minded enthusiasts. These horses run under rules up and down the country.
Also keen pursuers of the South West point to point circuit, we would like to invite enquiries from anyone that would like to join us in partnership with our future runners.
