Withyslade Farm is home to a Group 1 winning stallion and a large band of brood mares and their followers. Formerly a dairy farm for the past few centuries, a stud farm has now been developed and continues to grow since its change of direction fourteen years ago. Salisbury is 14 miles from Withyslade Farm, whilst the nearest airport is Bournemouth Airport, just 21 miles away.

Located one mile from Tisbury in the centre of Cranborne Chase AONB (area of outstanding natural beauty), Withyslade Farm provides home-from-home holiday cottages at the heart of our working stud farm. Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.7 for a two-person trip.

David & Helen
David grew up locally on a dairy farm just a few miles away in the nearby Chalke Valley, along the banks of the pretty River Ebble. A farrier by trade he now focuses on the day to day running of the farm, alongside his growing equine orthopedics business.
Helen, originally from Banbury, graduated from pony club to three day eventing before running a horse transport business. Helen can always be found around the farm where she works with the horses, manages the cottages and is ‘boss’ of the office.
David and Helen met many moons ago in the well known racing village of Lambourn where they both worked with thoroughbreds. They have two grown children Charlie and Poppy.
They are both keen racegoers around the local tracks and enjoy point to pointing. Their favourite racing excursions are to the Normandy seaside town of Deauville where they keep a few racehorses.

Withyslade is well equipped with a 100 acres of post and rail fencing along with modern barns and stabling. We also break in, prep and pre-train young horses all year round.
